Death by Iphone!

    Ok well not really a death by an Iphone. Nine workers at Foxconn a major electronics manaufacture in Souther China are dead within one year. Seven of these nine deaths have been deemed suicides the other two are still under investigation by the Chinese police. Also there has been two additional reported suicide attempts. So where does the Iphone come in? Foxconn is a major contributor to Apple's products ,and the factory with all the problems exclusively manufactures I-tech. The most recent suicide was by a man who was in charge of shipping new Iphone prototypes out to Apple. One of these prototypes was discovered missing. Upon this happening the man claimed to be beaten and kept in a room for hours on end all while being questioned about the missing prototype. While the facts concerning this story appear to conflicting quite a few eyebrows are being raised. Another example of the serioussness of the security of this factory comes from a reporter taking photos of the factory while in a public street being stopped by Foxconn security then being kicked ,and threatend by the guards. The reporter then called the police who let him know that he could file a complaint ,but saying  "But this is Foxconn and they have a special status here. Please understand." Due to the recent suicides special interest groups are also looking a Foxconn saying that the company pays an unfair wage. Claiming that the workers feel as if the must work over time just to make ends meet. Most workers their live in crowded dorms provided by the company. Workers earn on average just under 300.00 dollars a month. They work 12 hour days with a two hour lunch. Also working Large amounts of overtime every week. Just something to think about before you buy that shiny new Iphone ,Ipad ,Ipod etc..... Apple says that they will be taking a closer look at their sweat shops oops! I mean manufactures.
